A popular door, this one.
Here in Melbourne, people love their wines so much, they have a special festival to drink themselves silly.
We like this picture because a) of the texture of the wooden sign. It's much older than the rest of the building, and we're sure there's a delicious story behind its origins. b) ironically, there was no door under the 'cellar door' sign.

@{H} creatives: For me, the story behind the picture is just as important as the picture itself. Thanks!

@Candace: It really was an inviting place. Drinking wine makes people very happy!
Nice colours. I wouldn't mind having a taste of that wine too...

@Gonçalo: If you ever do visit Melbourne, drop by the T'Gallant Winery in Main Ridge. They are famous for their wines. I'm sure you would like it!
love this shot with all the different contrasting colours! well taken and nice write up behind it :)
p/s tks for visiting my pblog and yeah it did cross my mind that my shot does look like some alien creature...was waiting to see if anyone might see it too! hahaha yeah... hello Captain Bulbuosa! :)

@kairospix: Thanks for your feedback on this 'piece'. Now about your alien creature, I was initially quite hesitant to speak my mind because a)it kinda breaks the mood that you were setting with the excellent writeup b)people all across the globe will know how bizarre my mind really is After much pondering, I couldn't resist it. The temptation was too strong :)
Nice shot!

@Wayne: Thanks!
Again, i like the satiration in this shot. And panaromic crop was brilliant idea as it places the roof diagonally across the frame. :) Nicely done pal.

@Rahul: Thanks, buddy! You are the first to notice what I intentionally did with the placement of roof & crop. You have quite an eye for details :)
I like the angle you chose to use here. Well done!

Is this on the Mornington Peninsula? Been to Melbourne a few times in recent years, really enjoyed visiting that area.
