The sun was blinding, our backpacks were heavy and we'd been walking for hours. Decided to stop for lunch at this beautiful bay.
I went to play in the waves with my sister. We had a ball. We would wait at the edge of the waters for giant waves to emerge (occurs maybe once in every 30 waves). When it came, we'd run helter-skelter from it.
Daniel chose to cower under this magnificent overhanging rock and 'look after the food'. There were a couple of birds eyeing our food.
We were on a three-day hiking/camping trip in Wilsons Promontory National Park - arguably the most loved national park in Victoria. The promontory is a peninsula that forms the southernmost tip of the Australian mainland.

@bronzebilly u.k.: Thanks for the comments, Billy. Yes, there are more. I think altogether 2500+ shots in just 3 days, will be released eventually. Check back later for more postings
I thought 2,500 shots over 9 days in Iceland was a lot! Beautiful photos - looking forward to seeing many more!

@June: I was a little trigger happy. Mostly wildlife photos. BTW, your photos are awesome!
I'm planning on taking a trip down there in the next couple of weeks...either to do the south circuit or the northern Mt Singapore one. Any tips? And great shot!

@Wayne: If you could afford the time, I'd recommend you do the entire southern circuit clockwise (Telegraph Saddle - Sealers - Refuge - Lil Waterloo - Oberon - Tidal River). That should be possible with 2-3 overnights. If you intend to go on a photo spree, I'd recommend you do a shorter circuits (maybe no overnights). A camera body with lenses is no joke when you add camping equipment into the equation. Plus you would have more time taking photos and not worry about the sun setting on ya before you get to your next base camp.
BTW, I posted a picture of Oberon Bay taken at sunset today.
When I opened your picture I thought it was the rock only....very nice that the rock is actually blocking a magnificent blue sea....great shot!

@Herbert: Yea I know. Sometimes I feel most pictures don't even get viewed because of how the thumbnails are arranged. Maybe the admin people could improve this in future. Thanks for your comments.
That walk from Sealers - Refuge - Lil Oberon is a superb hike! Thanks to my parents I grew up as a Prom feral, I was there just about every weekend and every school holiday, if we weren't exploring another part of this amazing country. It is much changed now, but the beauty of those rocks remain. Whisky Bay is the place for rock studies.

@Helen: Yea, I absolutely love the place! Been through all the southern tracks except to the lighthouse. I am planning on my 5th trip there at the end of this year - may be doing the entire southern circuit again via the lighthouse and Roaring Meg or the Northern tracks!
great texture
